About Under Jacaranda
On my second day at UQ, I walked onto campus alone. Sunlight fell on the sandstone walls, shadows moved across the lawn, and I felt certain: This is a place I love.
Life in Brisbane brought new accents, new routines, and moments of loneliness—but also the kind of friendships that turn a city into a story. When graduation season arrived, like many international students, I stood at the same crossroads: stay and try, or return and start again.
That’s why I created Under Jacaranda—to turn campus memories into something you can keep close and use every day.
-
A small UQ main building you can build with your hands
-
A notebook to hold timetables, thoughts, and quiet milestones
-
Postcards to send to friends (and to your future self)
Not a tourist souvenir—a shared memory for those who studied here.
One day, I hope you’ll see that little building on your desk, flip to a page of messy notes, or find an old postcard in a drawer—and smile:
I really lived through seasons under the jacarandas.
For the seasons under the jacarandas. 🌸
